Walt Disney Research

Not everyone can say they got to live their dream, but working for the mouse was something 10 year old Lexi could only imagine. Not only did I get to live in the most magical place on earth; but I got to work with an amazing, talented, and passionate team to make it even more magical.

During my time with Disney I was able to touch multiple lines of business and contribute to over 30 research studies.

I won't be able to share everything I got to do or how we did it. But check out below to see two amazing projects I can share with you:

Disney Illusion Island
Disney Illusion Island is a multi-player platformer for the Nintendo Switch in partnership with Da La La Studios. We conducted play testing studies through varies stages of production. We assessed game mechanics, tutorial effectiveness, game follow, and story design. We tested a wide range of players in regards to age, gaming experience, and multi-player configurations. Qualitative data was recorded and results were presented via an in-depth report and live presentation.
Hey Disney!
Hey Disney! Is an overlay for Amazon Echo devices which was first released in a piloted study throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Our team initially did in-depth interviews and usability studies with guests before rolling out the devices to the resorts. As part of this pilot, resort guests participated in a survey on their experience with the device. After a successful pilot the overlay became available for at home users.
